I have only seen Che Part 1 and left the cinema disappointed. The intercutting of black and white and colour is confusing when you can only see half the film. Like Traffic, it will no doubt come together by the end. Meanwhile, though Che Part 1 is beautifully done, I would still prefer Motorcycle Diaries.

We stumbled across a New Years Day special showing both Pt 1 + 2 at the Odeon Covent Garden and thought it was really good. Was a long time sat watching a film, but seeing both parts in one go was worth the effort. This film is done in a much more biographical format, whereas Motorcycle Diaries was more of a feature film, and was more romantic in its portrayal.

Finally caught up with the first part. But wish I'd seen it as you saw it Tom, both parts together. There was a lot I liked about the film. And a few things that I thought could have been done better. I suppose I was most interested by the way they used faux archive.
How was the second half? Can't wait to see it.
